The Munros in Winter

This is Martin Moran's account of his expedition to climb all the Munros in a single journey. Not only did he complete the trip and thereby become the first to do so in winter, but he also set a record for the fastest-ever completion of the Munros in any season. He describes the 1030 miles of walking and skiing, the 410,000ft of ascent and descent, the storms, snows and darkness of winter, and the terror of an avalanche and of scrambling down a mountain in pitch darkness and a howling gale.
