"Finding the Past" includes an examination of the ways in which many objects have come to light: through accidental discovery, metal detecting and construction work and considers the future for treasure finds and raises the questions about who owns the past and who has the right to decide what is done with it.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Richard Hobbs is curator of Roman Britain in the Department of Prehistory and Early Europe at The British Museum. He has published a number of books and articles on treasure and portable antiquities, including British Iron Age Coins in the British Museum and A Guide to Conservation for Metal Detectorists.
