John Raynes is an established artist, teacher and author. He has published ten successful instructional books on drawing and painting, including Figure Drawing and Anatomy for the Artists, now a standard reference work on many practical art courses. His most recent book, The Figure Drawing Workbook (Collins & Brown), won the Art Instruction Book of the Year award from Artist's Choice Magazine in 1997.
