"Come to-night," I heard the old man say, "come to me to-night into the Wood of the Dead."
Join Weird Walk on a new journey into the ghostly and the strange, stepping beyond the safety of the inn and into places where the path begins to vanish. From the vast wilderness of mountains, coasts, and ravines to ancient and forbidden woodlands, these stories explore landscapes charged with unease and otherworldly presence.
Featuring disquieting classics by John Buchan and Algernon Blackwood alongside modern tales of warning and dread from writers such as Lisa Tuttle and Dorothy K. Haynes, The Wayfarer's Weird guides readers toward fae perils, forgotten tracks, and the liminal spaces that lie between the known and the unknown, in Britain and beyond.

Weird Walk began as three friends setting out across an ancient trackway in southern England wearing entirely unsuitable footwear. What started as an ill-prepared ramble grew into a wider exploration of the landscapes, folklore, and ritual traditions of the British Isles.
Through walking old paths, visiting sacred sites, and immersing themselves in seasonal customs, they have sought to highlight the sense of wonder at the heart of rambling. Their work spans a zine, social media, music, and a podcast, all celebrating the magic woven into the land.
Their first book, Weird Walk: Wanderings and Wonderings through the British Ritual Year, was published in 2023.
The spiritual successor to the popular Tales of the Weird anthology The Haunted Trail. This collection takes the reader to wilder spaces and into some more modern horror, weird pieces hailing from 1879-2014.
