Geoff Lumb lives in Huddersfield and is a noted transport historian and photographer. He has compiled a number of books for Ian Allan Publishing, including Ian Allan Transport Library: British Trolleybuses 1911-1972 and Heyday of the Bus: Yorkshire. He is also the author of English Electric Tramcar Album, which is due to be published in late 1998.
With its origins in the period immediately a fter WW1, the Leeds-based bus bodybuilding company of Charle s H. Roe was one of the longest established in the business, before its closure in the 1980s. This book examines the his tory of the company. '
