Inhaltsangabe

Working with Gun Dogs is written by a real countryman who has worked with dogs and studied their behaviour and temperament for sixty-five years. The author first explores the basic and most important issue of choosing the right dog. This accomplished, there is then the question of management of the dog. Though we are a nation of dog lovers, many animals are overfed, prone to bad habits and insufficiently exercised. Consequently, correct training is particularly important and each dog's unique temperament needs to be taken into account during the process. Then, once in the field, the working dog's life is examined in detail.
