Dafydd ap Gwilym is the most renowned and original of Wales' medieval poets, and is considered by many to be the greatest Welsh poet ever. Professor Dafydd Johnston is Director of the Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, Aberystwyth. Dr Huw Meirion Edwards is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Welsh, Aberystwyth University. Dr Dylan Foster Evans is a lecturer at the School of Welsh at Cardiff University.
