Richard Daugherty is an Honorary Professor in the Cardiff School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University. Professor Gareth Rees is Lecturer in Sociology in the School of Social and Administrative Studies at the University of Wales College of Cardiff. He is the author of Cities in Crisis (Edward Arnold, 1985) and has edited Poverty and Social Inequality in Wales (Croom Helm, 1980), Political Action and Social Identity (Macmillan, 1985), and Restructuring Capital (Macmillan, 1986).
