The type collection at the Virginia Humanities' Virginia Center for the Book is the centerpiece of a Charlottesville creative community and the metal and wood type source for dozens of collaborative book projects. The original limited-edition, handset, handbound edition completed entirely in letterpress in 2017 is now available in facsimile pages, with introduction and type index. This paperback edition has a matte cover and a combination of full color and black/white internal pages. Featuring work by more than fifty letterpress printers from Central Virginia and beyond, including traditional and specially commissioned artist's specimens. Introduction pages designed by Lucas Czarnecki, edited by Kevin McFadden, cover marbling by Lindsey Mears, with original binding by Yolanda Merrill, and printing overseen by Garrett Queen. 8.5" x 11", originally printed in Charlottesville at the Virginia Arts of the Book Center (now Virginia Center for the Book).
