Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Richard G. Schulman, PhD has been a licensed psy- chologist in the state of Florida since 1987. He has wide experience having worked in many different settings: Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit; Adoles- cent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit; Adolescent Residential Treatment Program; Dual Diagnosis Adolescent Program: Psychosomatic Medicine Unit; Program Coordinator Eating Disorders Program; and Clinical Director of a Chronic Pain Management Unit. He is a former Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida in Tampa. His doctoral dissertation, “Cognitive Distortions in Bulimia,” was published in the Journal of Personality Assessment. He was a psychology intern at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. He is a songwriter, having written over 250 songs and is one of the founders of the Dreamwalkers band. He is a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga and is currently working with Yogi John McKenney on a book , ‘Power Yoga for Aging Athletes.” He is the father of two sons; Jonathan, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, and Daniel, a videographer, living in Sarasota, Florida. He is in private practice in Sarasota, Florida.
