Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Don Michel, owner and operator of WRAJ AM-FM in Anna, Illinois, has had a variety of fascinating jobs—from journalist and broadcaster to music teacher to portrait photographer to importing Russian porcelain.

As the operator of WRAJ, he was broadcasting in a community of only forty-eight hundred people, but Michel was nevertheless able to land interviews with many famous personalities, including Walter Cronkite, Arthur Godfrey, Bob Hope, Ann Landers, Buckminster Fuller, Dr. Michael DeBakey, and photographer Yousuf Karsh along with local people who were important in the community.

Michel is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters. He is a former board member of the Illinois Broadcasters Association and the Illinois News Broadcasters Association.
