Mary Kay Seales was born and raised on the Olympic Peninsula in a Catholic family of five children. Many summers were spent in the forests and along the shorelines of the beautiful and wild Olympic Peninsula. Though she has travelled extensively, this corner of the world is home. She currently teaches at the University of Washington in Seattle. This is the second book in her Beginner's Guide series of travel books.
