Each activity has been researched to develop specific foundational hand and fine motor skills needed for success in school and life engagement. Each activity is correlated to the school curriculum so teachers and parents can support learning concepts through these fun activities. Handy Learning activities are child driven. Susan Thompson, OTR is an Occupational Therapist who has specialized in pediatrics for over 19 years. She has a degree in education as well as a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. She developed the Handy Learning program while working in a school setting and piloted the entire program for three years before releasing it to the public. She is a highly sought presenter and owns the continuing education company, Handy Learning Seminars, Inc. In her free time she likes to windsurf, play piano and ukulele, and practice Tai Chi. She is a certified Tai Chi for Health instructor.
