Stanley K. Lott was born and raised in Saluda, South Carolina and is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He has devoted many years to researching the subjects of slavery and the American Civil War. He is also the author of Slavery and the U.S. Government and Lincoln and the U.S. Government.
