The New York Times called Sunny "the most famous female polo player in the world." ESPNW compares her accomplishments as "Some say she's pulled off the equivalent of being the first woman to earn a World Series ring." Sunny is the first woman in US History to win the prestigous US Open Polo Championships, American Polo's most coveted tournament and trophy, alongside some the greatest male players of all time as a professional among them. She is an inductee into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame along the likes of Sandra Day O’Connor,Georgia O’Keeffe,Annie Oakley and Patsy Cline among others. The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors and celebrates women, past and present, whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience, and independence that helped shape the American West…"The women who shape the West change the world”. Sunny is widely recognized among her peers as the most accomplished and well respected female Polo player in the world. What sets her apart from the pack, is her achievements at the top of what has traditionally been a male dominated sport and the fact that she was hired as professional player to compete on teams alongside some of the greatest male players in the sport for over 20 seasons. This would be the equivalent of a woman being hired to play in the NBA, World Series or the Superbowl as a starter among the men and winning the championships. Learn more at: www.sunnyhalepolo.com
