Dot was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She has been a missionary for many years in Scotland, England, Eastern Europe, South and Central America, India, as well as Africa, sharing the Gospel wherever she goes. God spoke to her about writing a book, and she tried to put it off for many years, until finally she sat down one summer day and wrote her first book, The Encourager, to be followed by this one. She hopes that her words will bless and encourage her readers, and that God will use them in the same way He has used her. Dot lives in Florida and works at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale’s Outreach Ministry doing Missionary Care with her husband Jim. She is also a breast cancer survivor, and God has used this to encourage many other people she’s met while going through this trial. Whether writing about her family, old friends, miracles or her adventures with Jesus, in or off the mission field, she shows us the myriad ways her faith guides and sustains her. God is real to Dot and she wants the world to know Him like that.
