In the space of just over three years about two millenia ago, a teacher walked along the dusty roadways of the Roman world and through the villages of the Galilee teaching His Jewish followers about God. The encounter of one of those men, a young disciple named Yochanon (John) unfolds the story of this Teacher. He was both their friend and their Redeemer. His touch changed them forever. These lessons follow the "Gospel According to St. John" and help students and teachers of the Bible apply the key principles of that record. Volume II opens with the tension surrounding Jesus as the days of His earth ministry drew to a close. This set of lessons follows Jesus to the cross, the tomb and the sightings after His Resurrection (John 12-21). These volumes are edited versions of the teaching notes from courses at the Great Commission Bible Institute in Sebring, Florida. They are designed by Bible teachers for both groups and independent study.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Dr. Randall Smith and his wife Dottie raised their three children in Jerusalem, as he developed travel study programs in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and Italy. With extensive study in the interconnection between the Bible, its contemporary history, archaeology and cultures of the ancient world, Dr. Smith has taught in Bible lands – from the back of a camel to the deck of a cruise ship – for three decades. He continues to offer acclaimed travel experiences for students of the Bible through Christian Travel Study Programs, Inc. Over the last decade, he has carefully developed a curriculum and taught through the entire Bible each year with students from the Great Commission Bible Institute in Sebring, Florida, while maintaining a robust travel schedule with study groups to Bible lands. He is a Pastor, Bible Professor and tour guide instructor who loves to show how standing on the ruins of an ancient place can enliven the text of Scripture.
