Absent from the popular assessment of existence by materialistic, Western philosophy is the intrinsic proportion and qualitative dimension of phenomena. Indeed, the qualitative particularity of a phenomenon is of enormous relevance because it reveals the intrinsic distinction as opposed to the merely superficial appearance of the physical periphery.
