Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) was an American essayist, naturalist, and leading figure of the transcendentalist movement. Best known for Walden and On the Duty of Civil Disobedience, he developed a philosophy grounded in individual conscience, simplicity, and resistance to unjust authority. Thoreau's work has had a lasting influence on political thought, environmental writing, and traditions of nonviolent protest.
