Leslie Tryon has written eleven books set in Pleasant Valley, beginning with the widely acclaimed Albert books, and now moving the focus to the indomitable, bossy, highly organized, and in her own way loveable Patsy Pig. Leslie lives in Carmel Valley, California, with her husband, their cats, and a tarantula that occasionally wanders through the backyard. Besides writing and illustrating books, Ms. Tryon volunteers each week in an elementary school remarkably like the one in this book.
