Grade 7 UpDear Doctor is made up of questions and answers in an enormously broad range of material about adolescent health and sexuality, based on letters which originally appeared in the ``Youth Clinic'' column of the Toronto Star. In addition to letters about physical attributes and adolescent development, some of the letters relate to first sexual experiences and sexual development; others are from teens who are already sexually active. The authors are Canadian physicians specializing in adolescent psychiatry and family stress. As such, the book is readable and authoritative, and most teenagers will find the material of interest. It would take several books separately to cover the wealth of material that exists here, none of them as likely to be read from cover to cover as this one. Since most teenagers, in addition to having their own problems, are also involved in the problems of friends and family, informally as well as in peer counseling settings, this is a definite plus.
