Jim Alouf is an associate professor of education at Sweet Briar College in Virginia where he has worked for fifteen years.  Prior to completing his Ph.D. in social studies at the University of Virginia, Jim taught high school social studies at Middlesex High School, Middlesex, New Jersey for nine years.
