One Train is the brilliant and witty culmination of a dazzling career. Kenneth Koch's poetry, first published in 1994, makes it clear why he received the Bollingen Prize for Poetry in 1995. "Filled with light, " said the critic Paul Hoover, "his work reminds us, as Robert Frost once wrote, that poetry 'begins in delight and ends in wisdom.
