This guide is a solid, basic overview of the grant-writing process, from assessing needs and researching a match to proposal writing and follow-up. The guide is aimed at individuals who wish to fund projects, either with or without nonprofit affiliations; however, it would be a useful primer for any novice grant seeker. Blum attempts to balance sensible advice with upbeat encouragement. She even supplies advice on self-motivation and efficient working procedures. Recommended for libraries with clients who need a do-it-yourself introduction to grants.
