Justice for our children implies that delinquent youth receive, in fact, what our laws mandate: rehabilitation. Justice for our children then requires that we study our treatment approaches, that we discard what is ineffective and secure, and that we foster what is successful. This book is a study of what rehabilitates, what does not, and why in each case. Rehabilitation of juvenile delinquents is possible. This book draws from a review of the literature of over 825 books and articles on the treatment of juvenile delinquents. These studies were intensely investigated, and from them principles for the rehabilitation of juvenile delinquents have been formulated. The prediction is that when the principles articulated in this book are utilized in treatment programs, there will be justice for our children.
