This little volume reports the results of a Gallup poll done for the Robert Schuller ministries on Americans' religious views. The accompanying text provides an evangelical assessment of the results, plus commentaries from some of the people interviewed. The poll data are of some interest, though many of the questions seem tilted toward eliciting pious responses. Beyond a basic exposition of the numbers, however, the analysis is thin and uncritical. The interpretation is framed specifically for evangelical churches, which are expected to use the data to enhance the effectiveness of their mission in America.
