The Board of Education shall organize at its regular meet~ ing in May of each year, by the election of a president and vice president from among its own members. Each of whom shall serve one year, or until their successors are elected and qualified; they shall also elect a clerk who shall hold his office during the pleasure of the Board. And who shall receive such compensation as the Board may allow.
