An able, but not infallible, journal has recently indorsed this view and affirmed of that part of the original Constitution which says, that Every professor in the Seminary shall be a man of sound principles of divinity according to the Catechism it has never been repealed, if any power can repeal it. The natural force of its language covers every professorship not only then exist ing, but that ever can there exist. It also indorses the testimony of Dr. Dana and others, that it was originally intended that all the Professors in the Seminary, without distinction or exception,' should conform to this unchanging and unchangeable doctrinal standard.
