A.prime concern since the Joint Center's establishment has been the monitoring of significant state environmental legislation, especially the Environmental Land.and Water Management Act of 1972. Future plans call fer continued close evaluation of these crucial laws in terms of their effectiveness and responsiveness to overall state growth policy goals.
