As I know, to deal systematically with the Whole of a legal doctrine, whose development is, I venture to think, in danger of being marred by too exclusive an attention to particular aspects. I should add, that the book was substantially written before the publi cation of the decision of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts in Broadway v. Adams, 133 Mass. 170.
