Excerpt from Constitution and Register of Active and Honorary Members

Dr. Barnard, being called to the chair, stated that the object of the meeting was to receive a charter from the Alpha of New York of Phi Beta Kappa, and to organize under such charter the Delta Chapter of New York. The charter was then read and, on motion, adopted. The chairman read the constitution, which was also unanimously adopted.
