Flinders the reluctant hero: Learning to read is just the start of the adventure - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Flinders has finally found his own human…

There’s just one problem: she lives on a boat.

Twelve-year-old Sandy is delighted with her new guinea pig. Flinders is less certain about life afloat. He’s afraid of water, and there’s rather a lot of it outside.

But the newspapers lining his home have taught him more than anyone suspects. When he reads about turtle thieves in Moreton Bay, then catches them at work, he knows Sandy must be told.

Unfortunately, knowing how to read doesn't mean he can speak human.

Can one small, water-fearing guinea pig stop the turtle thieves when he can’t even tell his humans what’s happening?

An illustrated adventure for readers aged 8–10, and younger children reading with an adult.

This is the revised edition of Book 1, not a sequel.
