Yards and Stripes: A Funny Book About Work, Business and Gardening. - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Crocodile Dundee with a Lawn Mower A ham-handed Australian swaps his Manhattan cubicle for the manicured gardens of Connecticut. But there's one small problem - he doesn't know a weed from a hydrangea. Armed with nothing but relentless self-belief and a franchise manual he probably should have read more closely, he soon discovers that his clients know their lawns and gardens better than he knows his own excuses. What follows is a string of hilarious mishaps and disasters that somehow grow into something resembling a business, and a crash course in American suburbia - one yard at a time. Part inspiring career change, part laugh-out-loud misadventure, Yards and Stripes is for anyone who has ever leaped before they looked, and those who would rather see an Aussie do it first. Get your copy of Yards and Stripes today and discover the best stories, like the best gardens, grow in the most unlikely soil.
