Biografía del autor
Born in Australia in 1959 Marianne Curley lived on a riverbank property in Windsor, New South Wales, until floods destroyed the family home. Forced to move to the outskirts of Sydney, and with no neighbours nearby, Marianne soon discovered her love of books. She spent much of her free time at school scouring the shelves of her libraries, where she enjoyed the likes of Margaret Mitchell, Leon Uris and James A Mitchener’s long meaty saga’s. After school, Marianne became a legal stenographer, working for a state government power company's legal department. She followed this with teaching computers and office studies to adults and senior high school students at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus. She lived in Coffs Harbour for twenty years while raising her three children with husband John. It was there that Marianne discovered her love of writing. She undertook writing courses, experimented with different styles and found Young Adult paranormal the best fit. Today, Marianne's children are adults and she lives on a mountain overlooking the Gold Coast where she continues writing after a battle with bone-marrow cancer and a fall which left her with two crushed vertebrae and chronic pain. Marianne’s first four novels - Old Magic, The Named, The Dark and The Key, were published by Bloomsbury Plc, London, and Simon & Schuster in USA. These books have been translated into more than a dozen international languages and won numerous awards. Next published was The Avena Series, with Hidden, Broken and Fearless, also by Bloomsbury Plc in 2012 to 2015. Marianne is now fourteen years cancer free and has written the fourth book to The Guardians of Time Series called, The Shadow. Marianne is working on her next Young Adult Paranormal Fantasy and a Young Adult Contemporary Fiction novel.
