During the early part of 2009, I was asked b y my mate Ralf to assist him in transporting a boat from Westernport Bay, near Melbourne in Victoria, and it bring it back to Brisbane by sea. The work we were doing on our own boat, Ship Happens, had come to a standstill due to lack of ready funds to continue. So we were both having a short holiday. I was contacted by Ralf, about the job, and told that we would be paid for the job along with food and accommodation, which would boost our funds and allow us to continue with work on our boat after our return. Having nothing better to do, I agreed to meeting the prospective clients, where we would work out costings and what would be required. The finer details, and our contract price was agreed upon, by the clients. Therefore, in April of that year we set off on a journey, that by the end of trip would read like a script from the old seventies television show, Gilligan’s Island.
