Crown 4to 10"x7½"  approx. 284 pp. Beige thickly textured cloth boards with vignette and titles to the upper board. No titles to the spine. Facsimile reproductions of manuscripts in colour decorate the endpapers. Chapter headers are a small colour illustration of a book's front wrapper. Inscribed by the author to Harriett Gilbert; the writer and BBC presenter. The book is tight and firmly bound with straight spine. No previous ownership inscriptions or remainder marks. The boards are clean and unfaded, the corners and spine ends sharp. The pages and closed page edges are clean. The dust jacket is crisp and complete and unclipped . The colours are bright, fresh and unfaded, corners and spine ends are sharp. The Bannerman Shortlist has been announced. Six authors. Six stories. And Gideon Bannerman is missing.
