Dr Stockley's manual has been prepared from an extensive database of all recorded adverse drug interaction reports over many years. It is therefore completely up to date and includes all clinically relevant interactions. The book starts with an explanation of the mechanisms of drug interaction and continues following a highly organized structure. Chapters are arranged alphabetically according to drug class within which are listed alphabetically the interactions with other drugs. For each interaction a consistent plan is followed - summary, interaction, mechanism, importance, and management. Dr Stockley has also produced a wallchart which summarizes the interactions and which is distributed by the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingleheim. This book is intended for general physicians, general practitioners, hospital and community pharmacists, pharmacologists, and senior nursing staff.
