Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Michael H. Whitworth is University Lecturer in Twentieth-Century Literature at the University of Oxford, and a Tutorial Fellow of Merton College. His previous publications include Einstein’s Wake: Relativity, Metaphor, and Modernist Literature (2001) and Virginia Woolf (2005).

The first of the book's two sections introduces key issues in modernism, looking at the way in which modernist writers themselves understood and constructed modernism. The second section explores how subsequent generations have built upon these constructions and brought new interpretations to the subject.
