“No Mud, No Lotus” is a humorous but gritty journey out of substance addiction and sexual trauma and into Sacred Sex and Neo Tantra! It’s the raw, honest, and intimate biography of a Maya who stars in a controversial documentary film about Tantra: Code name "Tantric Seduction, the Dance of Maya." This isn’t the usual life story of a “Sacred Sexual, Tantric practitioner,” filled with New Age lingo and promises of ecstatic sexual bliss. Rather, it’s the genuine, real account of a regular girl who seeks emotional and psychological healing from a past of sexual trauma, abuse, and addictions. “No Mud, No Lotus” chronicles Maya’s determined journey to find depth and meaning within love, sex and relationships. It also tells the story of ”Father Ron” who believes it’s Maya’s destiny to stand at his side as a “Sacred sexual healer”, and invites Maya to travel the world with him as his mate and to teach “Tantra.” Together, they go to places where the lines between black and white, shadow and light, the sacred and the profane become maddeningly unclear and contradictory. But Maya’s past already endowed her with strength and a critical eye- assets she didn’t know she had- which serve as her beacon of truth as she negotiates the darkened maze that is Neo Tantra as practiced in sexually over-charged New Age circles.Über den Autor:
Maya is a world renowned Tantric Practitioner and author of "No Mud, No Lotus; a memoir of Sex, Betrayal and Spiritual Awakening." At thirty three, after twelve years of life threatening alcohol and drug addictions, Maya began a radical journey into self-healing. She began by diving deeply into "Tantra" and Sacred Sex of the West, which landed her in the controversial documentary film, "Sex Magic, Manifesting Maya." Overwhelmed with the limiting distortions of western Tantra, she ultimately denounced the work and moved to Ubud Bali, where she took refuge into the Sikh tradition of White Tantra/Kundalini yoga, and wrote her first book, 'No Mud, No Lotus.' On October of 2013, Maya traveled to Cape town, South Africa, where she came into contact with a teacher who helped her to realize her path as the Dakini. She continues her studies today in Johannesburg, where she currently resides.
