Inhaltsangabe

How far would you go to avenge your father's murder? It's been 7 years since Mustafa al-Hashim's watched his father die on the streets of Baghdad. Hell-bent on revenge, Mustafa turned to his uncle, a high-ranking officer in a terrorist army known as Sayf al-Din, for training and guidance. Mustafa's goal: Find the American responsible for the murder and kill him. The problem: He doesn't know his name or where to find him. With his commander's approval, Mustafa plots an attack more devastating than 9/11 and covertly travels to Las Vegas, ready to kill every American in order to get the right one. Now in a foreign land, Mustafa must find a way to pull all the pieces of his plot together while simultaneously avoiding the forces that conspire against him. It's up to FBI Special Agent Frank Rozelli, from the Las Vegas Counter Terrorism unit to stop Mustafa before he can carry out his plans. Is the FBI Mustafa's biggest threat or are there other, more sinister, forces at work? Is he even capable of pulling off such a nefarious deed? Mustafa's beliefs will be put to the test in Sin City, the epitome of American vice and excess. In a world full of lies and deceit, how does one know which course of action is the right one to take? With the lives of millions hanging in the balance, Mustafa will have to decide whom he can trust and if his actions will lead him to retribution or redemption. ***From the Publisher*** ~ "Spiders in the Sand" places a twist on the good vs evil theme. The story is about a young man, Mustafa, who has been raised on the terrorist side of the conflict. The author delves into the mind of this young man to tell his tale. One of the main things for the reader to consider is that, in many cases, bad guys don't believe they're bad, and to look past what might be seen as anti-American sentiment in the beginning of this story. This story is about the bad guy, Mustafa, but there are forces of good, Special Agent Frank Rozelli and other FBI Special Agents, out to challenge the evil. There are plenty of "good guys" for the reader to get behind and support. The reader is encouraged to approach the story with an open mind and know that a satisfying, well-written, action-packed, character driven thriller is at the heart of this story.
