Inhaltsangabe

"Nurtured early on by the layered folds of southern mountains, the artistic vision presented here now encompasses a more universal geography. This requires a rather wide field of view, objects in sharp focus at whatever distance, and Rasnic interacts with his environment in ways one could never expect. Adventure & contemplation, sin & redemption, regret & renewal; it's all here, as tangible as dust. Like sub-atomic particles rendered larger-than-life, these poems literally pulsate with life. Read them again and again. I guarantee you will not grow tired of their energy."
-- Robert Kuhlken, PhD Central Washington University

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Ben Rasnic is originally from Jonesville, a small rural town in extreme Southwest Virginia, population <1000. He graduated from Jonesville High School (which no longer exists) and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Clinch Valley College (later re-named UVA-Wise) where he served as editor of the school’s literary journal, Jimson Weed. Mr. Rasnic initially became enamored with the amazing possibilities of poetry in 1973 when his brother, acclaimed author Steve Rasnic Tem introduced him to Richard Brautigan's “The Pill Versus The Springhill Mine Disaster”. He has been hooked ever since. Currently, Ben resides in Bowie, Maryland and other than writing, spends his leisure time tending his vegetable garden, his Weber charcoal kettle grill and whenever possible, his Zebco rod & reel while trout fishing in America.
