Cosgrove III. Christopher was killed by a suicide bomber in Al Anbar Province, Iraq on October 1, 2006. Inspired by Christopher's love of history, Eileen makes history come alive through the characters in "The Fighting Hawks at D-Day." Christopher lives on, fighting alongside his real life brothers Kevin and Brian. He teaches them and the reader history along the way.
