Bob Barker was a child of the depression who turned his life into an inspiration. With a positive spirit, a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial bent, and the help of his wife, Pat, Bob built a back-room slush machine business into the world s largest supplier to detention facilities. The Bob Barker Company has been successful because it reflects the values of its namesake: innovation and perseverance to develop needed products, cooperation and mutual respect to facilitate a well-oiled company, customer service and a desire for excellence that make clients feel valued and keep them coming back. The stories Bob tells in this book are as much about family as about business, as much about spirit as about profit. Readers who look over Bob s shoulder as he reflects on his remarkable life will find a full measure of wisdom in matters of business. More importantly, however, they may find Bob s passionate and positive spirit to be catching, and good for the soul.
