Roshan Karki is from a hilly region in Dolakha, Nepal. Since his early years he showed an interest in fiction and poetry and seldom wrote for enjoyment. He began writing passionately after attending Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Some of his published work are well accompanied with great poets of times such as Allen Ginsberg, Federica Garcia Lorca, William Blake etc. "Chasing Unicorns,"Karki's first book, is a collection of poems written during his two years at Loras College. The poems reflect his experiences at Loras College and emotional transition from teenager to the early phase of adulthood.
