Dr. Jim Taylor has been a consultant to professional, world-class, collegiate, junior-elite, and recreational athletes in tennis, skiing, cycling, golf, football, baseball, hockey, track & field, swimming, gymnastics, equestrian, volleyball, water skiing, and other sports. His clients include athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA, ATP, and WTA.Dr. Taylor received his Bachelor's degree from Middlebury College and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Colorado. He is a former associate professor and Director of Sport Psychology in the School of Psychology at Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale.A former alpine ski racer who held a top-20 national ranking and competed internationally, Dr. Taylor is a 2nd degree black belt and certified instructor in karate, a marathon runner, a certified tennis teaching professional, and a tournament squash player.Dr. Taylor has published over 220 articles in popular and professional publications and has given more than 300 workshops and presentations throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He is also the author of thirteen books including the Prime Sport book series, Psychology of Dance, and Psychological Approaches to Sports Injury Rehabilitation.
