A series of child murders that took place in and around Manchester in the 1960s shocked and scandalized the country. The two people responsible, Myra Hindley and Ian Brady, were tried in a sensational case and sentenced to life in prison. After Myra Hindley's death, Duncan was sent her unpublished papers, a cache of photographs and the letters she had written to her family from prison.
