Designed to provide teachers with a variety of resources for introducing young children to themselves as living things - to help them learn about how their bodies work, how they will grow and develop and how they can keep themselves healthy and safe. The A1 poster included shows a group of people of different ages in a park, as a springboard for discussion of being "alive", of the similarities and differences with other living things and of our senses, while the photocopiable pages are intended to help teachers introduce and reinforce all the vocabulary needed. The lesson plans are structured to support direct teaching of the whole class followed by differentiated group and individual work.
