This text covers the requirements of all the mandatory units at this level of the GNVQ Engineering course. Each chapter follows the unit specification closely - the chapter titles correspond to the unit titles and section headings correspond to the elements in the unit. End-of-chapter multiple choice questions in the same style as the unit test are provided. Each section contains a summary detailing coverage and links in with performance criteria, range statements and evidence indicators. "Portfolio Ideas" are also included at the end of each section designed to generate evidence for the student's portfolio and show how this links into the unit specification.
