Inhaltsangabe

Dr. Gomez has had a lifelong speech impediment. According to research, approximately three million people in the United States stutter. Although that seems like a small number compared to the roughly 332 million people who make up the nation's population, the struggles of people who stutter are real. Dr. Gomez wrote this book because he believes that it is possible for people who stutter to reach any heights they set for themselves. Dr. Gomez hopes to inspire and motivate others by sharing his story of living with a stutter for approximately five decades. In this book, he shares the ten postulates he developed while coping with stuttering, creating goals, following through with commitments, and becoming an invaluable professional during his military career as an Army officer and in his second career as a professor of leadership and management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His journey was arduous, and it seemed impossible to him at times. Nonetheless, he successfully faced the adversity that came with having a speech impediment. He earned a doctorate and achieved his goals by practicing his postulates.

Dr. Gomez hopes to influence others by changing lives positively. With this book, Dr. Gomez wants to share his vast experiences as a leader in the military and the classroom to provide the reader the unique opportunity to develop their leadership skills, regardless of whether they stutter or not.
