Inhaltsangabe

When Heather McCarthy boarded a Boeing 747, with six total strangers, to make an 8,000-mile journey from Chicago to Rwanda, she knew it would be a life-changing experience. For two weeks, she worked with the nonprofit organization World Vision, seeing how they transform people's lives, provide clean water projects, help impoverished communities and inspire them to make long-lasting improvements to the quality of their lives. At the end of her journey, Heather wanted to bring the focus of the work carried out by World Vision to a much wider audience and now this book, Simbi: A Vision Trip to Rwanda, is doing just that. The journal, combined with more than 150 photos, shows the work being done in some of the most challenging environments, and includes the commissioning of a pipeline, visit to hygiene clubs, meetings with sponsored children and eye-opening realities of water walks. If you ever wondered what it is like to live on the edge of life, Simbi: A Vision Trip to Rwanda, will help you gain an understanding of what it means and how it affects the people, land, and wildlife of this fascinating region.
